We put extensive effort into managing our onsite water supplies to minimise our effect on the environment.  At all stages of our process the amount of water usage is monitored and opportunities to reduce requirements or increase water quality are quickly grasped.

Waste water from the manufacturing process is screened for solids and piped to aeration lagoons for treatment.  Secondary and tertiary effluent treatment processes are used to reduce the biomass in the liquid to a level where it can safely be irrigated onto surrounding pasture to assist the growing of grass for stockfeed.

All waste products and emissions are monitored to meet the international standards of ISO 14001, a standard we have met since 2001, plus the strict national standards of our Resource Consents.
