All of our standard products are available
with Low Formaldehyde emissions, to meet the F
(F-Three Star) and F
(F-Four Star) Japanese Industrial Standard
(JIS). JIS applies stringent criteria to
resin inputs and formaldehyde emissions resulting in
a tangible standard for consumer security.
The
F-Three Star standard is a maximum of 0.5 milligrams
per litre (mg/l) of formaldehyde emission and the
lower F-Four Star standard is maximum of 0.3
mg/l formaldehyde emission. We also meet
other Emission standards, simply request your preference
when you place your order
This symbol appears on every JIS
pack and illustrates our compliance with the JIS A 5905 standard.
The RS designates the panel as "Base Board Polished", or sanded
panel. The 30 relates to the minimum bending strength (Modulus
of Rupture) of the panel, and is a conservative minimum for
the full range of panels we make. The U is the classification
according to the adhesive or resin used, and signifies that
Urea based resin is the main component.
